Mandarin Chinese is spoken by approximately 1 billion people worldwide, making it the language with the most native speakers.
It is also one of the six official languages of the United Nations.
Unlike many other languages, Mandarin doesn't require you to worry about verb conjugations, tenses, gender-specific nouns, or singular and plural forms. Instead, it focuses on mastering tones and learning to read and write Chinese characters.
HSK is divided into 6 parts
HSK LEVELS
1st Level H
Students who pass the HSK (Level ) will be able to understand and use basic Chinese words and phrases, meet fundamental communication needs such as greetings, and are equipped to continue advancing their Chinese language studies.
The student will be able to master between 130 and 150 Chinese characters.
The student will be eligible to give the international HSK 1 Exams.
2nd Level
Students who pass the HSK (Level II) will have a solid understanding of basic Chinese and be able to handle simple, routine tasks that involve straightforward exchanges of information on familiar topics.
The student will be able to master 250 to 300 Chinese Characters.
The student will be eligible to give the international HSK 2 Exams.
3rd Level
Students who pass the HSK (Level 3.2) will be able to engage in conversations on a broad range of topics and communicate fluently with native Chinese speakers.
The student will be able to understand 550 to 600 Chinese Characters.
The student will be eligible to give the International HSK 3 Exams.
4th Level
Students who pass the HSK (Level V) will be able to read Chinese newspapers and magazines, enjoy Chinese films and plays, and deliver a full-length speech in Chinese.
The student will be able to understand 850 to 900 Chinese Characters.
The student will be eligible to give the International HSK 4 Exams only when the part 4.2 is complete.
5th Level
Students who pass the HSK (Level VI) will be able to easily understand both written and spoken Chinese and effectively express themselves in Chinese, both verbally and in writing.
The student will be able to understand 1200 Chinese Characters.
The student will be eligible to give the International HSK 4 Exams.
HSKK 1 & HSKK 2
The goal of this program is to provide practical Chinese lessons tailored for frequent travelers and business professionals. These industry-specific courses emphasize building business relationships. Only students who have completed HSK Level 2 are eligible for this course.
YCT is divided into 4 parts
YCT LEVELS
YCT Level 1
After completing YCT 1, students will be able to master basic greetings and salutations, understand and use common Chinese phrases and sentences, and effectively grasp the tones in the Chinese language.
Students will be able to understand 100 Chinese characters and will be eligible to take the International YCT 1 Exam.
YCT Level 2
Students will be able to understand and use basic Chinese phrases and sentences and manage fundamental communications.
Students at this level will master Hanyu Pinyin.
Students will be able to understand 150 Chinese characters and will be eligible to take the International YCT 2 Exam.
YCT Level 3.1
Students who have achieved an excellent level in basic Chinese will be able to communicate simply on familiar daily topics.
The student will be able to understand 225 Chinese Characters.
The student will be eligible to give the International YCT 3 Exams only after the completion of YCT 3.2.
YCT Level 3.2
This level focuses primarily on communication. Students will engage in conversations comfortably in both their daily and academic lives.
When traveling in China, they will be able to handle most forms of communication in Chinese.
Students will be able to understand 300 Chinese characters and will be eligible to take the International YCT 3 Exam.
